Aircraft Accident Database

One Day CSRTG Accident Database User Training Course.

The Cabin Safety Research Technical Group Accident Database has been designed to be used as a tool to aid the analysis of aircraft accidents in order to evaluate possible improvements to aircraft safety. It contains data on 3,945 accidents. Approximately 3,155 accident records contain textual data. There are numerous data fields providing information on the accident circumstances, as well as photographs, exit usage diagrams, injury location diagrams and information from the FAA Atlantic City library. The database contains accidents up to the end of the year 2009 and was published in May 2010.

In order to promote world-wide use of the Database as an analytical tool, it is planned to hold a series of one day training seminars in both North America and Europe, in order that potential and current users can become fully proficient in its use. No specialist computer knowledge is required, and each Delegate will receive their own copy of the Database User Guide to keep for reference. In addition, following the course, delegates will be able to request assistance with use of the Database via e-mail should any further assistance be required.
