Maurice James

Maurice James has many years experience in the aviation industry having
previously held various senior positions managing teams of project managers and
engineers. He specialises in system safety analysis, engine and powerplant
design and development, flight test engineering and project management. He
has a wide understanding of the safety analysis process in the context of
aircraft design. Since joining R.G.W. Cherry & Associates, Maurice has
worked on a wide range of system safety projects and benefit analyses. He
is an experienced lecturer and carries out the tutorials on the Cranfield
University Safety Assessment of Aircraft Systems five day Course. Maurice
is the co-presenter of the company's Applied Safety Assessment course. He
also lectures on Pilot Studies at the University of Hertfordshire.
Together with Ray Cherry and Cranfield University, Maurice has co-presented
system safety assessment courses to many organisations worldwide.
Maurice is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and
holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Durham. He
is a holder of a Commercial Pilots Licence with an Instructors Rating and flies
regularly, presently instructing at Stapleford Flight Centre in the U.K.
