| The database currently contains information
on 3,945 accidents and of these, textual information is available
on 3,155. The database was initially intended to carry out analytical
work aimed at improving occupant survivability. More recently the
scope has been expanded and it now includes information on non-survivable
accidents.
The latest version of the database has been published in May 2010.
The database has now been upgraded to a web-based version.
